Adullam Camp Ministries

Adullam Camp Ministries carries on a tradition of many years in camping leadership development in Christian community. For example, 2009 will continue the 29th Annual Choral Camp.

The ministry recently became incorporated in May 2005 and received its charitable number effective January 2006.

Each year a summer team is hired and trained to implement a summer schedule of events including day camps, art and drama camps, hiking and canoe events, and Choral Camp, the grand finale of the summer. Partnerships continue with Dresden Community Church; St. Paul's Congregational Church, Chatham; Hope United Church, Alvinston; St. John the Evangelist Church, Strathroy; and Chatham Baptist Church, Chatham .

 There is also a Leader-in-Training (LIT) Programme. The ministry promotes and trains canoe skills through its association with ORCA (Ontario Recreational Canoing and Kayaking Association). With membership in the Bethel Bible Studies ministry, courses of the Bethel studies are being offered during the year.

The planning and operation centre is located on leased premises at 825 Park Ave W., Chatham. Monthly committee meetings are held there, as well as storage and weekly sessions in maintaining equipment.

In addition to significant charitable donations, Adullam relies on two fund raising events: an Annual Silent Auction in October, and a Dinner Dance in December. Members of the ministry pay an annual membership fee of $25.00.
