The 1000 Islands History Museum provides visitors with an inviting setting to reflect on the history of the area. The building itself is build in a style reminiscent to the original cottages and grand hotels that dotted the islands of the St. Lawrence, built during the Golden Era. In the spacious exhibit halls, visitors will find dioramas, videos, and interactive displays, designed to educate and entertain. General admission to the museum is by donation, while unguided tours can be booked at a cost of $2/person and guided tours, offered in both English and French, can be booked for $3.50/person.
