Our History

Founder and CEO Jim VanderWal has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. After cutting his teeth in residential construction, Jim moved onto ever larger and more complex projects in the commercial, institutional and heavy industrial sectors.

His extensive construction experience, coupled with his progressive vision, convinced Jim that the future of roof framing was in light-gauge/cold-formed steel.

Today, VanderWal Group’s team of skilled, knowledgeable professionals will design, engineer and fabricate any conceivable cold-formed roof framing system to your specific requirements and deliver it anywhere in Canada for the most economical price.
