Closet Full of Stuff was founded in the summer of 2011 by Ashley Perl (Montreal, QC). Ashley decided to start her very own business at the age of 21. The idea came one morning while browsing through her closet and finding not one, not two, not three but dozens of clothing articles that still had their tags attached, or clothing that she had only worn once or twice. Instead of taking photographs and posting them on local selling websites, she decided to create the local, Montreal-based company, Closet Full of Stuff. She would soon discover that her friends and family had the same shopaholic problem that she did, and that purchasing clothing without ever wearing it was more common than she thought. Closet Full of Stuff was created as a spot where locals can post their clothing, footwear, handbags and even jewelry that has never been worn or worn once or twice, and sell them to local Montrealers at a discounted price. Articles sold on Closet Full of Stuff are always clean and undamaged, ensuring customers benefit fully from their purchase. Why go shopping and pay retail for something new when you’ve got Closet Full of Stuff!

HOW IT WORKS:

SELLING:
Congratulations! You’ve decided to sell some of your items just sitting or hanging there, lonely, waiting to be loved. We’re like an adoption agency for clothing and accessories. Closet Full of Stuff accepts to sell on its website clothing, footwear, handbags and jewelry that are clean and undamaged (We do not accept lingerie or swimwear). You can contact me by email or phone, and I will come meet with you personally to browse through the items that you are willing to sell to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them. We will then determine prices for all the items to make sure they are fair and reasonable. I will then take them to be photographed, and proceed to post them on my website for viewing and purchase. Once an item is purchased, I will receive a 20-30% commission depending on the item and the price (to be determined during the pricing step). The rest will go to you (hand delivered, mailed or picked up by you).

PURCHASING:
Why pay full price for that department store piece when you can save 60, 70, 80% for the same thing on Closet Full of Stuff! If you are purchasing or interested in anything found on our website, you can contact me directly to make arrangements for payment and pick up or delivery. If you feel more comfortable trying the piece on beforehand, feel free to come by and check it out (by appointment only). Busy work or school schedule? No problem, all items can be delivered for a service fee of $10.00 (unlimited items). If any of these options do not satisfy you, we can also Fedex you the items, for an extra charge.
