OUTline is resource and support service specializing in questions relating to sexual orientation and gender identity. OUTline serves the University of Guelph and surrounding Guelph/Wellington community.
OUTline currently provides services through a number of different initiatives:
A confidential and anonymous Support Phone Line, open three days per week and staffed by LGBTIQQ2PA+ volunteers who complete a 33-hour training program.
Ask OUTline, a question & answer style blog that allows people an opportunity to ask a question through an anonymous web form and have a response posted within 36 hours to the blog for the community to see.
Delivery of custom Workshops & Training to campus and community organizations, by request, on topics such as coming-out, Queer identities and homophobia.
Participation in Awareness Activities that raise the general knowledge of the local community around challenges faced by the Queer-identified people. For example, OUTline participates annually in International Day Against Homophobia, Queer Identities Week and National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
Actively seeking new Resources to act as referrals for the Support Phone Line and on the OUTline website, to increase connections and support for Queer-identified people in Guelph/Wellington.
OUTline is always looking for bright and enthusiastic volunteers from on and off campus in Guelph/Wellington.
